Chester Barrie was a wonderful English tailoring factory with a quality level on par with Brioni, Kiton, and Attolini. They made suits and such by hand, artisanally, before CB changed into a factory operation. This suit is one of those hand made pieces, from the 2000s.
The size tag reads 46R UK, regular fit, made in England, hand-finished. Best fits a chap with some belly.
The jacket has a structured shoulder, notch lapels, flapped pockets, pick stitching, horn buttons, full canvas structure.
The jacket is in excellent condition. The shoulder lining inside is torn, and easy to fix by a seamstress. There is a small mark where the fuzzy cashmere nap is brushed, behind one shoulder.
The cloth is 100 % cashmere wool with a flannel surface. Heavy, warm, soft.
Exact measurements: shoulder seam to seam 50 cm, neck seam to cuff end 63 cm, armpit to pit 59 cm, below neck to hem 80cm.
Similar Chester Barrie jackets used to sell for around 2400 euros new.
