J. Press is a clothing company founded in 1902 with a great reputation in the USA. It was once one of the most important manufacturers of Ivy League style.

Here is a blue-beige varsity jacket, also known as a baseball jacket. A comfortable casual model, especially with jeans as is customary in America. Made of boiled wool, with sturdy leather sleeves, and elastic at the neck, sleeves and waist.

Size L, but the jacket is made for the Japanese market. Based on the measurements, it fits best on a size S here in Europe. Likely made in Japan.

Unstructured shoulder, side pockets with flannel bags, snap fastening, logo on the chest, lightweight and easy to wear.

The material is not noticeable on the label, but feels like full wool.

There is a hole in the elastic on one sleeve that a seamstress can repair. The leather sleeves would benefit from a correct color leather cream if you don't like the worn look. The edges of the pockets have the usual lint rubbing. There are no holes or scratches in the wool or leather.

A new, similar jacket costs 740 euros after customs and VAT:
